Italian Village Hideaway – Steps from Art & Eats

Our stay was okay. We noticed this Airbnb had good reviews overall so maybe our experience isn’t representative of the typical experience offered: 1. The WiFi was unusable upon arrival. The app tiles on the tv wouldn’t load and we couldn’t connect our devices at all. We needed to work from the Airbnb and expected the wifi to work. The host eventually proposed we troubleshoot the next day but it did cause some work stoppages on our end. 2. The pillow cases were too short for the pillows and had visible stains. We contacted the host and were informed that the linens were cleaned and there weren’t any extras. 3. Both bathroom and kitchen sinks were slow to drain, which explained the residue left in the sink upon our arrival. 4. The couch frame was broken. 5. Background check was a bit excessive and frustrating after having experienced the above. I hope this was a one off situation. We had a place to stay…not a luxury apartment as advertised.

Overall stay was ok. Area is safe, convenient to dining and quiet. Check in was made tricky because of multiple codes found at different locations for gate, then door. Listing does not say there is no elevator and requires carry bags to third floor. There were literally 4 towels (2 small bath towels/2 hand towels). No extras. A listing of this type usually has additional towels available. One of the bath towels was stained and needed to be replaced. The bathroom sink drained excessively slowly and needs to be cleaned out. Pricing was near what a hotel stay cost but you get more space. That being said the amenities don't match the pricing so might find it hard to stay here again.

Nice place in a great location! Very convenient and quite but close to great neighborhoods. Easy parking. Would love to stay again sometime.
